About Us

As a language educator, I have experienced language as a foundation of learning and a key skill required for building relationships, growing communities and creating successful careers and businesses. I have observed that adding a second language can be a gateway to opening even more doors in life.

Working with language learners at all stages of their lives, from K – 12 students and home schooled children to college and university students and adults, I have seen first hand the struggles and frustrations learners encounter when acquiring a second language.

Without the proper assessment, evaluation and feedback as a guide, learning a second language can be a challenging journey.

For 42 years, I have helped learners improve their second language acquisition skills. Through my training, experiences as an educator, speaker of 4 languages, author, creator of resources and research in language acquisition, I discovered that learning of a Second Language arises best through the GATE of first speaking the new language. When participating in a conversation with others, we engage not only the cognitive learning part of the brain, but also our bodily kinaesthetic and social and emotional connections. Through second language acquisition, we also experience the value of gaining new perspectives on communicating with and understanding others.

With my new language service, I am excited to continue my professional journey by focussing on helping second language learners fulfill their dream of speaking French fluently, improving their reading skills and learning to write with creativity in French.

Our Second Language Acquisition Improvement Services:

Too often language learners spend time and energy on training that does not fully meet their needs. The goal of our program is to save you time, effort and money, by identifying your strength and weakness, and help you improve the effectiveness of your second language learning activities.

  1. A) Evaluation, Assessment and Recommendations: Our evaluation, assessment and feedback process can be applied to better assess how well the language support and training you are receiving is helping you, your family member or employee, successfully progress in the acquisition of a second language.

Providing practical feedback will help you identify your verbal, writing or reading language acquisition skills that will benefit from further focus and development.

  1. B) Progress Monitoring and Coaching: Our progress monitoring and coaching guidance, based on the assessment and evaluation process, helps us identify and provide appropriate additional language development guidance, recommendations and suggestions for additional resources to support improved second language acquisition.
